Resurrecting From Your Tomb
As we come into the month of Nissan and the celebration of Passover and our redemption, the Anointed One has given Tara and I both a vision regarding Christ’s resurrection and the tomb. This is the month that the Lord wants us to remember our redemption and that we have crossed over out of our Egypt, out of our wilderness wanderings, and into our new identity and inheritance. The stone has been rolled away and the tomb is empty!
We must understand that Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead for all of us to give us everlasting abundant life. John 10:10 (TPT) But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect - life in its fullness until you overflow!
He overcame the tomb grave so that we no longer remain entombed and death has no victory over us. 1 Corinthians 15:54 (TPT) And when that which is mortal puts on immortality, and what now decays is exchanged for what will never decay, then the Scripture will be fulfilled that says: Death is swallowed up by a triumphant victory!
Ask the Spirit to reveal to you where you are entombed in death. The death identity can be generational, poverty, lack, depression, sickness, addictions, religion, fears, anxieties, dread, and rejection, etc. These bondages wrap you in death like the linen cloths of burial.
Let us ask, who are you? Who do you say that Jesus is? To awaken and break free out of the tomb and from the death identity you need to recognize that you are in need of a redeemer. There is an Anointed One who has come to exchange your decaying death for life that will never decay.
As prophesied, Isaiah also foretold Jesus Christ’s crucifixion as the sin offering for the world, “Surely He has borne our infirmities, and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we ourselves are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned each one to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all…. Yet the LORD willed to crush Him and He has put Him to grief: You shall make His life an offering for sin. He shall see His seed; He shall prolong His days, and that the purpose of the LORD might prosper in His hand. He shall see of the travail of His soul. He shall be fully satisfied. By His knowledge shall my righteous Servant justify many; and He shall bear their iniquities” Isaiah 53:4-6, 10-11.
Here was the Passover Lamb himself at the celebration of Passover bearing our iniquities, shame, sorrows, transgressions and entombing the natural and spiritual body of the literal sacrifice. He did this to save us from death, our enemies, ourselves, the one who comes to laugh and thrive on stealing, killing and destroying anything and everything we have. Praise The Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ for He has risen and our redemption is sealed!
Open your soul to Him. Become vulnerable to the Spirit. Cry out in repentant faith. Trust on Christ alone to remove the stench, the decay, the disease of iniquities and to roll away the tomb stone that the enemy has illegally tried to preserve and guard over your life. In the book The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis, I am reminded of the vivid scene where Aslan dies and is resurrected imaging Christ’s death and resurrection. Aslan says, “If the Witch had looked back before the dawn of time, she would have learned that when a willing, innocent victim is killed by a traitor, the Stone Table will crack and death will be reversed.”
Praise God! Death is reversed for us and our tomb is empty. The stone is rolled away. Shout and declare, “Freedom! Liberty! Life! Redemption!”
Have you walked away from the cross? Have you mulled around in life down the broad road of death and gone searching for Him in empty tomb caves? Do your tears and frustration bind you with the cords of death? Are you like Mary or one of the disciples found weeping at the tomb?
Rejoice with violent praise for here is the key answer given in the vision: John 20: (TPT) The Empty Tomb. 1Very early Sunday morning, before sunrise, Mary Magdalene made her way to the tomb. And when she arrived she discovered that the stone that sealed the entrance to the tomb was moved away! 2 So she went running as fast as she could to go tell Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved. She told them, “They’ve taken the Lord’s body from the tomb, and we don’t know where he is!”
3 Then Peter and the other disciple jumped up and ran to the tomb to go see for themselves. 4 They started out together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5 He didn’t enter the tomb, but peeked in, and saw only the linen cloths lying there. 6 Then Peter came behind him and went right into the tomb. He too noticed the linen cloths lying there, 7 but the burial cloth that had been on Jesus’ head had been rolled up and placed separate from the other cloths.
8 Then the other disciple who had reached the tomb first went in, and after one look, he believed! 9 For until then they hadn’t understood the Scriptures that prophesied that he was destined to rise from the dead. 10 Puzzled, Peter and the other disciple then left and went back to their homes.
11 Mary arrived back at the tomb, broken and sobbing. She stooped to peer inside, and through her tears 12 she saw two angels in dazzling white robes, sitting where Jesus’ body had been laid—one at the head and one at the feet!
13 “Dear woman, why are you crying?” they asked. Mary answered, “They have taken away my Lord, and I don’t know where they’ve laid him.”
14 Then she turned around to leave, and there was Jesus standing in front of her, but she didn’t realize that it was him! {in the vision Jesus’s eyes blazed blue, his hair blowing in the breeze and he was smirking, almost laughing with joy as you would when you can’t wait to surprise someone} 15 He said to her, “Dear woman, why are you crying? Who are you looking for?” Mary answered, thinking he was only the gardener, “Sir, if you have taken his body somewhere else, tell me, and I will go and . . .” 16 “Mary,” Jesus interrupted her. Turning to face him, she said, “Rabboni!” (Aramaic for “my teacher”).
The visions are a clear revelation of the Hebraic month of Nissan characterized by repentance, redemption and the beginning of miracles. As the “first of months” and our “Passover” month we need to allow the Lord to deliver us from every restrictive tomb that would keep us from entering into our full redemption plan.
Pray and call out to the Lord thanking Him for His deliverance. Isaiah 60:1 Arise, [with supernatural faith and resurrection power] shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. (Emphasis mine.) Let the Spirit of God blow on you!
